The June 2016 Look Incredible Deluxe Beauty Box came in the post for me today, and the first thing that caught my attention was that the box was bigger than normal!
So, what was in the June Look Incredible Deluxe Box? Read on for my reveal, followed by my verdict!
The Look Incredible Deluxe Beauty Box is one of the more expensive boxes at £35 per month (including shipping) and is a more high-end beauty subscription that promises four to five full-sized products per month, which are generally from popular, good quality brands. While the cover price is expensive, this reasonably new box has impressed me every time with its selection and value since they launched in March of this year-so, did the June Look Incredible Deluxe Box live up to my expectations?
Read on to see what was in the box, and my thoughts on it!
BareMinerals 3-piece “Champagne Crystal” collection
The reason why the June deluxe box was larger than usual is because it was holding this sparkly gold bag, which is part of the pictured three piece “champagne crystal” set, consisting of the bag, a luminous gold-pink crystal infused highlighter for the face and body, and a small brush to apply it with. RRP. £55, this set appears to be sold out almost everywhere, including Selfridges.
BareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lip gloss in “Hypnotist”
Sticking with BareMinerals, the second item in the box was this “Marvelous Moxie” lipgloss in shade “Hypnotist,” which honestly made me say “wow!” when I took it out of the box! It is a multi-hued iridescent sheen that refused to photograph without looking yellowy-but in reality, it is a very sticky gloss that is clear and very shiny when applied. Wear alone or over a colour. RRP. £16.
Nars Audacious Mascara in shade Black Moon
This ever-popular mascara by Nars is in the shade “Black Moon” (ok, black…) and has a precision-moulded brush for accurate application. RRP. £21.
Tarte MultiEye Primer
The final item in the June Look Incredible Deluxe Box was this Tarte “MultiEye” lash primer, which is designed to lengthen and shape your lashes and provide a smooth base for your mascara. RRP. £20.
The total value of this month’s deluxe box was over £112, which when you consider the box price of £35, puts the purchase cost in perspective!
Every one of the deluxe boxes has contained at least one product that has really wowed me-this month, that was the BareMinerals lip gloss-and the box always provides a good collation of complimentary products (in this edit, a lash primer and mascara, and then a skin highlighter set and a high-shine iridescent gloss).
I did love this box and I am enthused about it, but I think that having two items from the same brand is something that is becoming a regular occurrence each month and I’d rather have more variety-This is the second month in a row that the deluxe box has contained a black mascara, and also the second month in a row that two of the items in the same box were by the same brand (BareMinerals and Nars respectively.)
I would like to see a little less makeup from BareMinerals in future boxes as they seem to feature every month in either the deluxe or regular box-but these are all really minor grumbles over a box that I am always very pleased with, and that is always excellent value.
